MY STORY

Wanda Keightley Drafting Services was launched during the Western Australian COVID-19 lockdown in May 2020. I realised that I had to adapt to the circumstances, and I thought there might be small jobs or casual work which I would be ideally able to cater for. My aim was to be able to provide professional 2D and 3D drafting services to customers in a range of industries during the lockdown and after.
Luckily, adaption is a skill I’ve developed in the 25+ years of being an engineering draftsperson! Working in project offices and consultancies has meant I've had to push out of my comfort zone and take on job requirements other than what I was used to. During my career I've worked in multiple sectors, across a range of disciplines (including train signalling, telecommunications, building services, piping, structural & civil), and also been required to take hands-on roles, such as conducting redline markups of commissioned sites.
This variety means I approach drafting in a value-added way, applying Australian standards, workflow and design principles, working with clients to achieve their outcomes and make their lives easier.
This experience, in conjunction with my ongoing professional development and the need to keep learning with each role, enables me to be able to provide professional and efficient drafting services for a range of industries and disciplines.
